The basic area of study is the meaning of signs, and the study of relations between different linguistic units:

-Components of the meaning= Denotación and connotation

-Related terms includ=Homonymy ,Homographs , Homophone,Heteronymys and Capytonyms.

-Relations between important and significant = Monosemy, Polysemy and Synonymy

-Relations between meanings =Hypernymy and Hyponymy.

-Complementarity=Antonymy and reciprocity

-Other:Paronyms, Meronymy,Metonymy,Holonymy, Exocentricity  /  Endocentricity and linguistic compounds.
